Dec. 2012 New Year's Eve

Year end 2012

Managed a successful December on my own with the team, George is semi retire. He lets me work with new CEO to deal with this month. I moved about 550,000lb in the month alone. It was the highest volume ever.  Month end number is not there yet, but I knew it will be the over 100k. Achievement is there. No doubt.

Got to go calibrate , Halifax will have the 3rd storm coming on 30th. I can stay add ski, which definitely I will do next time. But this time, I choose to see New Year's Eve with Seasy at Times Square . This is a must seen once in your life. I will not miss the chance to see it with Seasy together .

After all kinds of consideration, I choose 28th afternoon to leave, first purchasing, ticket date is wrong, changed into right one. Left 4:00pm to airport, west jet , flight delay, 3 hours,  connection flight already left before we departed from Halifax.
Spent hours on the phone, rebooked hotel and purchased another flight. Then, west jet has seats again, I retuned new purchased ticket and went with west jet to Toronto. Sleep for one night , wake up at 7:00 to catch flight to New York, again, flight delay and cancelled,  we sat inside aircraft for 3 hours , then, got off the aircraft went to bought another flight - air Canada . Only 1 hour to connect and we have o switch terminal.  Rush again to air Canada -- flight delay again .  Nightmare flights we met every possible wrong situation , almost wanted to back to Halifax . Our boardwalk show booked at 29th night, left Halifax at 28th and almost miss the show. We rush to hotel at Times Square , just have time to drop off luggage and went to the show place, show just started -- Chicago .
We sat at best spot like always, enjoy the dancing and singing , see the motion of the actress and actors , Show is always nice,  memorable .
Walk on Times Square, new year,s felling already there, workers put up some stage for the new year eve,  very busy street with all types of light shinning everywhere . We ate a nice big Chinese Restrauant . Enjoy the Chinese New Year feeling in New York.

30th,  we went to the biggest Macy and the area, just shopping around , here is not cold, always full people,  dinner at a nice french restrauant .
31st, we went to k town , coloured our hair , drink the bubble tea  and heading back to hotel to see the New Year's Eve, I did not prepare my New Year's Eve is like this :  police block the street from 23 to 59.  Our hotel is at 41 street, after we off the metro, we started the endless walking, every single street are blocked, only people have tickets can go in, we have to walk all the way to 59 street , then,  walk back words try to reach hotel, every street , we got to stop and wait for police to release the bar and bring us to next street, one police only ,  we have to wait over half an hour to go cross one block, waiting, slow moving  gave us a lots of time to watch the crazy people on the street, they shouting, laughing , and getting really high.

After 4 hours walking and trying, finally arrived hotel after 10:00pm, we are not allow to go back to streets but, we can see e performance from window, when we saw SID showed up, Seasy was screaming,  at middle night, streets Erie open, we went town stairs
